It's been a while, I know.

Honestly, people disappointed me recently.

Nothing dramatic. No big betrayal. Just a collection of small moments where I noticed people are so focused on themselves that they won't move an inch out of their comfort zone for someone else.

For me, in this case.

Someone told me my expectations might be too high.

Maybe.

But I know one thing.

It won't make me be the same.

I truly believe, well, it's basically factual, that if people were nicer to each other, the world would be more beautiful.

Simple as that.

Do you feel this way sometimes?

That people are too focused on themselves?

And then the harder question.

Have you had a chance to think lately if maybe you're too focused on yourself?

I'm not saying this to judge. I'm saying it because I catch myself doing it too.

We all get so caught up in our own lives, our own problems, our own to-do lists, that we forget to look up and see who might need us.

So use this email as a reflection reminder.

And tomorrow, do something nice for someone else.

It can be the smallest thing.

Why is the classic example always helping an old woman cross the street? We need a new classic one.

Maybe it's texting someone you haven't talked to in a while.

Maybe it's actually listening when someone asks how you are.

Maybe it's offering help before someone has to ask for it.

Once in a while, I put it on my task list. To help someone.

Recently I called a person I care about and just asked, "Hey man, you need help with something?"

He's like, "What?"

And I said, "Yes, anything. Carry something, think through an idea, listening, whatever."

I think this should be more common.

Do it and pass it forward.

The world feels heavy enough without us all being so focused on ourselves that we forget to show up for each other.

So tomorrow, do one small thing for someone else.

And if you're reading this and thinking of someone who might need to hear it, forward it to them.

Cheers, and sorry for being gone for a while.

Dry January Just Got Way More Delicious and Uplifting 🍸

January doesn’t have to feel dull or restrictive. It’s a chance to reset, feel amazing, and still enjoy the ritual of a great drink. Enter Vesper, Pique’s newest release—and my favorite upgrade to Dry January.

Pique is known for blending ancient botanicals with modern science to create elevated wellness essentials, and Vesper is no exception. This non-alcoholic, adaptogenic aperitif delivers the relaxed, social glow of a cocktail—without alcohol or the next-day regret.

It’s what I reach for when I want something special in my glass. Each sip feels celebratory and calming, with a gentle mood lift, relaxed body, and clear, present mind. No haze. No sleep disruption. Just smooth, grounded ease.

Crafted with L-theanine, lemon balm, gentian root, damiana, and elderflower, Vesper is sparkling, tart, and beautifully herbaceous—truly crave-worthy.

Dry January isn’t about giving things up. It’s about discovering something better. And Vesper makes every pour feel like a yes.
